Role Overview

The Lead Process Engineer is responsible for the process/equipment - related aspects of investment projects. Key responsibilities include the design execution documentation hand - over to the owner and support during the commissioning of the work area within the project aiming to ensure the smooth progress and successful completion of investment projects.

Critical Responsibilities

  • Drive process and equipment engineering in investment projects from concept development to commissioning during the early FEL phase. This involves applying advanced engineering knowledge to transform ideas into reality ensuring the projects technical feasibility and efficiency and laying a solid foundation for the projects success.
  • Assume the Process Lead role in investment. Lead the process - related decision - making resource allocation and risk management guiding the project to meet high - end quality and performance requirements and making significant contributions to large - scale business development.
  • Take charge of the design layout and specification of all process - relevant engineering documents. Coordinate construction activities and support commissioning. By ensuring the accuracy and comprehensiveness of documentation and the smooth progress of construction and commissioning the projects quality and safety are effectively guaranteed.
  • Keep abreast of the latest best practices codes and standards in the discipline and implement them in projects. This helps the project to comply with industry - leading norms improve competitiveness and ensure long - term viability.
  • Supervise team members throughout all project phases up to commissioning. Foster a collaborative and high - performing team environment provide guidance and support to team members and ensure the team achieves project goals efficiently.

Requirements

  • Educational Background: A Bachelors or Masters degree in engineering preferably with a specialization in process engineering or chemical engineering.
  • Core Skills:
    • Good communication and teamwork skills enabling effective interaction with internal and external stakeholders and the ability to handle uncertainties and conflicts in a professional manner.
    • Strong leadership skills to represent project issues to internal and external stakeholders make strategic decisions and lead the team to achieve project goals.
    • Broad expertise in basic process operations and up - to - date knowledge of relevant internal and external rules and regulations ensuring compliance and efficient operation of projects.
    • Over 8 years of professional experience in project execution demonstrating the ability to handle complex project scenarios and challenges.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluent in both spoken and written Chinese and English with the ability to express ideas clearly and concisely in both oral and written forms.
  • Leadership Requirements: Demonstrate leadership in guiding the team through all project phases including goal - setting resource management and performance evaluation and effectively represent the project to stakeholders.
