1. SUMMARY
Within NATOs International Staff (IS) the NATO Human Resources (NHR) Office is comprised of six pillars: Talent Management; Staff Services (Pay and Allowances Pensions and Insurances); HR Policy and Strategy Coordination (IS and NATO-wide HR policy); Organisational Design and Development (ODD) the Data Analytics Section; and the Medical Service.
Within ODD the incumbent will mainly work on organisational design and development tasks and projects to enable efficient organisational structures and processes. Examples of areas of work are supporting workforce planning reviewing post descriptions providing reorganisation expertise and contributing to organisational design studies.
2. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
The incumbent must:
possess a university degree or equivalent level of qualification in business management HR social sciences or other relevant fields;
have at least one year of relevant professional experience in organisational design or in broader human resources management related fields;
possess demonstrated skills in using Microsoft Excel or Access in managing data;
possess the following minimum levels of NATOs official languages (English/French): V (Advanced) in one; I (Beginner) in the other.
The following would be considered an advantage:
experience in generating data-based HR or financial reports; and
experience in a customer facing operational job.
3. MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
Expertise Development. Develop post descriptions and advise relevant stakeholders on efficient structures and best practices. Propose initiatives and contribute to the development of processes and procedures.
Project Management. Support and contribute to various HR projects but more particularly those related to organisational design and development to refresh the competency framework and build a skills architecture.
Knowledge Management. Support workforce planning initiatives and activities. Ensure data integrity accuracy and information flow in the Div/IOs assigned to their portfolio. Keep the associated technological tools such as the organisational chart application and other HR databases current.
Perform any other related duty as assigned.

Reporting Line: The incumbent reports to the Head ODD.
Interactions: The incumbent works in close coordination with other staff in ODD the broader NHR team International Staff Divisions and Offices and external stakeholders when needed.
