Job Description
As a Security Officer - Gatehouse Attendant in Jacksonville FL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial and more. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees contractors drivers and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures site-specific policies and access control requirements at a manufacturing and industrial location.
- Control entry and exit at gates and/or lobby checkpoints by verifying identification issuing visitor badges managing sign-in and sign-out logs and directing authorized personnel to the appropriate areas.
- Screen and monitor inbound and outbound vehicles and deliveries as required including checking shipping documentation coordinating with site contacts and reporting irregularities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including initiating emergency response activities per post orders and documenting actions taken.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings production-adjacent areas and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity and complete required reports.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
- Hold a state county or city issued security license preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
