Data Analytics Intern

Job Summary:

TheData Analytics Intern supports our data platform initiatives with a primary focus on Snowflake. This internship offers hands-on experience working with modern cloud data warehousing real production data and cross-functional teams.

This role will have exposure to data engineering SQL development and cloud analytics platforms.

Essential Duties

• Assist in developing maintaining and optimizing Snowflake databases schemas and tables
• Write and optimize SQL queries for data transformation reporting and analysis
• Support data ingestion pipelines from source systems into Snowflake
• Help monitor data quality performance and cost usage within Snowflake
• Collaborate with data engineers analysts and business stakeholders on data needs
• Document data models processes and best practices
• Participate in code reviews and team meetings

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science Data Science Information Systems or a related field
• Solid understanding of SQL
• Familiarity with relational databases and data warehousing concepts
• Comfortable working with large datasets
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Exposure to Snowflake (coursework labs or personal projects)
• Experience with Python dbt or similar data tools
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS Azure or GCP)
• Understanding of basic data modeling concepts (star/snowflake schemas)
• Experience using Git or other version control systems

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job the employee regularly works in a climate-controlled setting seated continuously and is sedentary the majority of the work day. This position may be work from home hybrid or in a call center with moderate to high noise levels & frequent foot traffic. This position routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones/headsets. Work area stations and cubicles are close in proximity to others.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is continuously required to use hands and fingers to handle feel or operate office equipment such as computers phones and photocopiers; and have moderate reach with hands and arms. The employee is regularly required to talk and hear sit and see in order to perform close-up computer work and phone equipment and requires close-up vision and color recognition.

Required Experience:

Intern
