The Senior Health Physicist position at Susquehanna Steam Electric Station provides technical expertise for implementation of the radiological effluent monitoring and control program (REMCP) and the radiological environmental monitoring program (REMP). Additionally this position is responsible for generating the annual Radioactive Effluent Release Report and the support of generation of annual Radiological Environmental Operating Report as well as managing the station Meteorological Monitoring Program. The primary responsibility is to ensure these programs are developed maintained and implemented in accordance with federal regulations and programs. The Senior Health Physicist will support various inspections/audits of REMP and REMCP (QA INPO NRC ANI) both onsite and at peer facilities. This position can also provide supervision for operation of laboratories oversight of supplemental personnel special projects root cause investigation leads or other assignments requiring a high degree of radiation protection/effluent expertise.
Educational Requirements:
Required Experience:
- Related experience which shall include 3 yrs.
- Nuclear power plant experience to include 2 yrs.
Preferred Experience:
- During the 2 years of nuclear power plant experience participation in the Radiation Protection or Chemistry sections
