Position Overview
The School LVN/LPN will provide nursing care and health support services to students within a school setting. This position may include 1:1 student care assisting in the school health office and floating between school sites as needed. The nurse will work closely with school staff to ensure a safe and healthy environment for students while supporting their medical and educational needs.

Contract Dates: ASAP 06/05/2026
Schedule: Monday Friday
Daily Hours: 7.5 hours per day
Weekly Billable Hours: 37.5
Work Setting: School-based environment
Key Responsibilities
Student Care
Provide direct nursing care to students including 1:1 support for students with medical needs.
Monitor and manage student health conditions during the school day.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and in accordance with school health policies.
Health Office Support
Assist in the school nurses office with student assessments and health concerns.
Maintain student health records and documentation.
Respond to student illnesses injuries and medical emergencies.
Collaboration
Work collaboratively with school nurses teachers administrators and parents to support student health and safety.
Communicate student health updates to appropriate school staff as needed.
Compliance & Documentation
Follow school district health protocols and state regulations.
Maintain accurate documentation of all health services provided.
Ensure confidentiality and compliance with student health records.
Work Assignment
School and age group assignments will be determined and discussed during the interview.
The nurse may provide:
1:1 student support
Health office coverage
Floating support to other school sites when required
Required Qualifications
Licensure
Active California LVN (Licensed Vocational Nurse) License
Skills & Experience
Experience working in school nursing pediatrics or student health settings preferred.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and collaborate with school staff.
