Job Summary
The Department of Modern Languages Literatures and Cultures at Wofford College invites applications for Spanish instructors for a one-semester appointment.
EXPECTATIONS
The teaching load for this one-semester appointment will consist of three Spanish 100- or 200-level multi-section courses during the Fall 2026 semester. Instructors will have an enthusiasm for teaching first-year students and working collaboratively with colleagues in the Spanish program and the broader Modern Languages addition they will provide grammar workshops for students and participate in co-curricular activities on campus.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
M.A. degree in languages literatures cultures and/or a closely related field by the start of the appointment
Near-native fluency in both English and Spanish
Strong communication skills
Experience teaching Spanish to U.S. university-level students
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience teaching at study abroad institutions such as IES CIEE SIT and SSA
