Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Retail Patrolin Houston TX you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more. This is a driving and armed post requiring a valid drivers license and an armed guard card. You will represent Allied Universal with integrity teamwork and a caring people-first approach.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to guests tenants and staff by carrying out security-related procedures location-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities within a retail setting.
- Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of sales floors common areas parking lots loading areas and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
- Respond to incidents disturbances and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including de-escalation and coordination with site leadership and/or public responders when needed.
- Monitor entrances and high-traffic areas verify access where required and observe for suspicious behavior policy violations and/or potential theft-related activity.
- Document shift activity patrol observations and incident details in written reports and communicate pertinent information during shift handoff to Allied Universal leadership and/or the client representative.
Minimum Requirements:
- An armed guard card and/or license is required.
- A minimum of 6 months of armed security-related law enforcement and/or military experience is required.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A Level III armed certification is required for Texas only.
- A minimum of 5 years of security-related experience is required.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
