About the role
The energy transition runs on batteries. As renewable energy reshapes the global power system batteries are taking centre stage. Making them reliable safe & scalable are the defining challenges of the energy transition. At TWAICE we build software that turns battery data into insights so that we can help the world reach net zero faster.
As aWorking Student in our Finance team youll be involved in day-to-day operations take on real ownership and see firsthand how decisions shape the company. You wont just observe; youll play an active role in keeping the business running and growing.
This position has the potential to become a permanent role upon graduation.
Working hours and days are flexible (particularly around exams). You should be available at least 15 hours per week regularly and be able to come into our central Munich HQ once per week (youre welcome every day if you wish).

Your daily business will involve
- Support accounting for our German and US entities in collaboration with external service providers
- Assist with monthly closings coordinating input from internal stakeholders and tax advisors
- Help manage Accounts Payable (invoice documentation VAT topics process improvements)
- Support Accounts Receivable including order processing invoicing and revenue recognition
- Support monthly financial reporting including cost and budget tracking
- Maintain and document accounting/finance processes in line with audit requirements
- Assist with the annual closing and audit
- Support financial reporting and budget tracking
- Help manage and optimize expense management using Spendesk
- Support the preparation of financial statements (P&L balance sheet cash flow)
- Contribute to process optimization and tool improvements within Finance
Your profile
- Enrolled student in Business Administration Finance Accounting Economics or a comparable field
- Strong interest in practical accounting work and basic knowledge of Accounting under HGB
- Comfortable working with financial data & spreadsheets
- Interest in tax cost and budget reporting
- Hands-on proactive and eager to learn
- Fluent in English (must-have) and German (C1 level)
- First exposure to DATEV QuickBooks or Spendesk is a plus
