Your New Role
We are seeking dedicated and experienced female or gender diverse Support Workers to join Sacred Heart Mission (SHM) on a casual basis. We are looking for casuals that will be available to work acrossWomens Services specifically at the Womens House.

Your Day-to-Day
Womens House Support Worker
The Womens House is an engagement hub for women and gender diverse people at risk of or experiencing homelessness.
In this role you will facilitate the drop in space in collaboration with a team of Pathways Workers and Case Managers. Duties include:
- Working through a feminist and trauma informed lens to maintain a safe enough environment for folks who have experienced chronic homelessness
- Providing access to showers sleep room laundry meals and material aid
- Admin tasks including case noting and recording of material aid and daily attendance

Essentials for Success
- Able to work across a wide variety of shifts including weekend and solo sleepover shifts.
- Certificate or Diploma level qualification/s in a related field.
- Experienced in effectively responding to challenging behaviors and crisis situations.
- Ability to work independently and confidently on solo shifts.
- Committed to working within a feminist person-centered strengths based and culturally responsive practice framework.
- Team focused with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
