About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our HR team. This position supports HR operations and organizational initiatives across a multi-location retail environment serving as a resource to employees and managers while assisting with employee lifecycle processes HR programs and day-to-day HR operations.
Responsibilities Include:
- Support the administration of HR policies procedures and programs.
- Assist with Leave of Absence (LOA) and Workers Compensation processes.
- Coordinate and participate in full-cycle recruiting efforts including posting jobs screening candidates scheduling interviews and preparing offer letters.
- Support onboarding and new hire orientation.
- Provide support for employee relations issues by assisting with documentation policy interpretation and conflict resolution.
- Partner with managers on performance and attendance matters escalating complex issues as needed.
- Assist with benefits administration and employee wellness initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal state and local employment laws.
- Help coordinate training performance review processes and employee engagement activities.
- Generate and maintain HR data files and reports.
- Other projects and duties as assigned.
Qualifications Desired:
- Bachelors degree required (Business or HR-related degree preferred).
- 3 years of progressive human resources experience required.
- Experience in a retail or similar industry is preferred but not required.
- Experience in a multi-state environment with a high volume of hourly employees is preferred but not required.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive employee relations matters.
- Experience with social media (LinkedIn) and employer branding is a plus.
- Familiarity with an HRIS platform is required (Paycom is a plus).
