Key Responsibilities:
Operate rewinding machinery safely and efficiently
Review and verify job jacket information for accuracy before starting production
Enter production data and maintain records in PRISM system
Inspect materials for quality defects during rewinding process
Monitor tension control and material alignment
Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of equipment
Follow all safety protocols and procedures
Communicate with team members regarding job status and quality issues
Package and label finished products according to specifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous manufacturing experience preferred
Required Skills:
Basic computer proficiency including email
Ability to read and interpret job specifications
Problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities
Ability to read and use measuring tools accurately
Basic mathematical skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to read and write detailed reports
Good organizational skills
Effective communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Additional Requirements:
Must be 18 years of age
Must pass pre-employment assessment
Drug screening
Background check
Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
Understanding of rewinding processes and equipment
Knowledge of quality control procedures
Familiarity with PRISM software
Safety protocols and procedures
Problem-solving and troubleshooting
Data entry and record keeping
Maintain focus on detailed work
Work independently and as part of a team
Follow written and verbal instructions
Manage multiple tasks efficiently
Physical Demands: The associate will be exposed to the manufacturing environment where hazards and requirements may include but are not limited to:
Must be able to lift and handle objects weighing up to 50 pounds
Capacity to stand and walk for extended periods
Ability to climb kneel bend reach and squat
Proficiency in grasping pushing pulling and fine motor skills
Visual Acuity for product inspection
Ability to wear required PPE (hearing protection steel-toe shoes safety glasses)
Use of ladders and other equipment
Forklift certification or ability to obtain forklift and pallet jacks
Travel Requirements: Travel is not in this position.
Work Conditions: The majority of tasks will be performed in a manufacturing setting with exposure to:
Noise levels above 85 dB
Operation of complex machinery
Solvents fumes and inks
Variable Temperatures
Must be able to work flexible shifts
May require nights weekends and holidays.
An additional $2.50/hr premium for hours worked on NIGHT Shift only (qualifying hours vary by location).
