Job Description
As a Security Officer - Entry Levelin Indianapolis IN you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. You will monitor activity document incidents communicate clearly with staff and visitors and respond to security-related concerns. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors and staff by following site-specific government facility access procedures security-related protocols and when appropriate emergency response activities.
- Screen employees visitors and deliveries at designated checkpoints using walkthrough detectors handheld wands and/or X-ray equipment and refer prohibited items or concerns to site leadership per post orders.
- Verify identification manage sign-in and badge processes control access through doors and turnstiles and maintain accurate logs and required documentation.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including de-escalation reporting and coordination with on-site personnel and/or public partners.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas entrances and perimeter as assigned observing for irregular activity hazards and/or policy violations and document findings per reporting guidelines.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
