Job Description:

The PM-AE works to ensure that Nebraskans have opportunities in the arts and arts education. The individual in this position is responsible for developing managing and coordinating NACs arts programs as well as the administration of grants and services. S/he also reviews objectives for arts programs with the Executive Director and Director of Programs regularly exploring state and national trends establishing communications with arts and arts education personnel in other organizations and monitoring how well strategic plan goals are being met. Partnership development with key organizations keeping current with issues facing the field and finding creative ways to address them are all components of this position.

Job Duties:Manage and evaluate Arts Education grant programs. Identify issues and trends affecting the arts in community development arts education and lifelong learning in the arts. Manage the AiS/C Artist Roster. Manage the Poetry Out Loud program. Oversee special programs and initiatives. Serve as NAC liaison for arts education planning and development Other duties as assigned and within the scope of the classification.

Requirements / Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:Bachelors degree in public or business administration accounting or any discipline related to the work assigned. One year of experience in planning organizing and implementing program administrative or business financial functions. Experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree and three years experience developing and/or administering arts education programs. One year experience working in a non-profit arts organization.

Other: This position requires travel. As such the incumbent must be able to present a valid drivers license or another form of reliable transportation. Regular and reliable attendance required.
