Security Officer Full Time Gate Patrol

As a Security Officer - Full Time Gate Patrol in Roanoke VA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading tech media and telecom location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas conduct routine rounds and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control points document observations and assist employees and visitors with professional customer service and clear communication. What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by following Allied Universal security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities for a tech media and telecommunications location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including coordinating notifications and assisting with crowd and/or access management as directed by post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings offices parking areas and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance lighting and/or access concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit points verify authorized access where required and assist with visitor management deliveries and badge and/or credential checks in accordance with site guidelines.
• Document patrols incidents and observations in written reports and/or electronic systems and communicate updates to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Customer Service Experience is preferred.
• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
