TITLE: Student Success and Support Teacher Middle School
JOB DESCRIPTION:
To facilitate on-site coordination of positive learning environments that enhances the academic social emotional and behavioral success of students at risk of failing to succeed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor Degree (Masters Degree preferred)
- Arizona Elementary or Secondary certification
- Minimum of five (5) years successful classroom teaching experience
- Training or related experience with Arizona College and Career Ready Standards differentiated instructional strategies Project Based Learning RTI PBIS and Social Skills training for students
- Experience designing and implementing engaging motivating and differentiated learning environments designed to support student success
- Experience working with middle school students who are at risk of failing to succeed
- Ability to work collaboratively with school and district staff to coordinate instruction for students
- Experience analyzing and utilizing student data to design instruction to maximize student success
- Experience working with non-compliant frustrated or occassionally aggressive student behavior(s) in which assisted physical restraint may be needed on rare occasions and therefore must possess a comparable degree of physical strength and

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Demonstrate teaching skills and knowledge of AZ College and Career Ready Standards in assigned academic area utilizing course of study adopted by the Governing Board and other appropriate supplemental learning
- Develop ACCRS based lesson plans and instructional materials and provide differentiated and small group instruction to support student success for students who are at risk of
- Provide an engaging motivating and differentiated learning environment designed to support individual student success for students who are at risk of
- Identify student needs and cooperate with other professional staff members in assisting and helping students solve problems find hope motivation and self determination toward achieving success.
- Analyze and utilize student data to design instruction to reduce failure rates and to maximize student success.
- Implement PBIS RTI and student behavior management programs with students when appropriate including NCI restraint and seclusion strategies if necessary for student
- Facilitate positive interaction between parents of students and school staff as well as communicate with parents about academic and social emotional successes and
- Evaluate students academic and/or social growth keep appropriate records and prepare progress
- Perform other duties as assigned
