About the team

Product Regulatory Affairs is a skilled diverse team of engineers and specialists working with product requirement specifications technical documentation standardisation product compliance and sustainability.

Our skills cover those typical in building construction e.g. thermal transmittance fire statics acoustics safety automation and the newcomers: sustainability chemical compliance and circularity. Our teams work collaboratively to support the development and maintenance of our products ensuring they meet regulatory requirements and sustainability goals.

The team is currently located in multiple locations in Denmark but part of an international department with colleagues and stakeholders sitting across the world. You will be working remotely from Poland but surrounding by other VELUX colleagues in Warsaw Poland.

About the job

Our team is responsible for specifying and documenting the technical performance of our products towards customers and internal stakeholders. We specify the technical and regulatory requirements in the early phases of product development and document (collect maintain and disseminate) all technical performance certifications and CE marking in the later stages of product development and throughout the products lifetime

We often act as a liaison between technical specialists and product managers and sales.

As a documentation specialist you are expected to

• Use your technical background to ensure high data quality and maintain consistency in technical communication across a large product portfolio and various business units.
• Strive to make thorough and clear communication to both technical specialists and non-specialists.
• Support on both smaller ad-hoc tasks larger long-running projects and individual exploratory studies and tasks depending on your skill set interest and the present tasks.
• Manage and organize your tasks within your responsibility area

Example of tasks could be:

• Update and maintain technical product information in various databases (e.g. excel PIM & PLM systems)
• Support sale/customers with interpretation of requirements ad-hoc documentation of technical statements and dissemination of our work within specific sales situations.
• Administrate product certificates and data for specific rating schemes.
• Collect process and present data or knowledge on a specific technical subject
• Draft technical statements presentations and communication to stakeholders
• Maintain U-value calculator tools for various products
• Collect and communicate technical information from specialist to layman.
• Participate in business trips (up to 15 days annually)

About you

Besides that we expect you to fulfil most of the points below:

• You have a background within building physics e.g. civil or architectural engineering construction architect or related fields.
• Experience with U-value/thermal transmittance calculation will be a benefit.
• You have recently concluded your studies or have a few years of work experience.
• Interest in the technical fields described above then we will teach you all about the world of product regulation.
• You have advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Great communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
