As a Security Officer - Unarmed - Warehouse Setting in Markham IL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading tech location you will conduct routine patrols and vehicle rounds stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents and support a welcoming experience through strong customer service and clear communication. What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to site employees contractors and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Monitor access points and conduct entry and exit screening verify identification and/or badges manage visitor sign-in and help to deter unauthorized access while maintaining a professional presence.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including medical calls fire alarms and property-related incidents and promptly notify site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas including offices corridors parking areas and perimeter lines and report observed hazards policy violations and/or suspicious activity.
• Complete patrol logs incident reports and daily activity reports and utilize site systems such as radios CCTV and/or access control tools to document observations and communicate with the team.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
