The HR Generalist III position is critical in providing HR business partner support to our Business Units and U.S. satellite offices throughout the U.S. and Canada region. This role provides advice and support for employee relations training and leadership this role you will deliver commitments to the business by bridging functional and operational needs for your client groups as well as partnering with the cross-functional HR community.
Location:
This role will be based on-site at our St. Petersburg FL Corporate Headquarters. Theres flexibility to be remote occasionally but for the most part this is an on-site opportunity. Some traveling to partner sites - within the U.S. - may be needed (Roughly 10-20% on average).
What Will You Do
Actively contribute as the go to Human Resources expert for your client groups providing guidance and solution support related to people considerations and organizational effectiveness.
Responsible for communication and interpretation of HR policies and procedures. Coaches/consults with managers and employees on issues including performance terminations etc. Coordinates all employee activities/programs.
Interprets and complies with all state and federal laws.
Analyze data understand trends and develop proactive solutions to further support business objectives.
Identify and quantify major areas of HR risk and opportunities.
Monitor and provide support during annual processes such as performance reviews and compensation planning.
Assist managers and employees in understanding and applying people manager tools available through Workday as well as policies and procedures to maximize employee performance achieve organizational effectiveness improve employee engagement.
Complete ad-hoc projects reporting and tasks as required with cross-functional HR / Partner teams working on or leading projects/programs.
Participate and provide input to develop change management and communications.
Be an integral member of the HR team on cross-functional teams and inter-dependencies with other BU and function teams.
How Will You Get Here
Education:
Bachelors degree in HR Business or a related field preferred.
Human Resources Management Certificate or PHR/SPHR certification preferred.
Experience:
At least 3-5 years of experience in an HR Business Partner or HR Generalist role within a matrixed/corporate environment.
Some related manufacturing and/or technical operations HR experience is preferred.
Familiarity/experience with handling global HR activity (more specifically Canada) is preferred.
Or an equivalent combination of education experience and/or training.
Knowledge Skills Abilities:
Good financial and business acumen.
Excellent interpersonal facilitation and presentation skills.
Detail and goal-oriented having the flexibility to deal with multiple and changing priorities.
Ability to manage own time and workload.
Excellent problem solving and organizational ability.
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to be confident in handling ambiguity while exercising common sense in decision making.
Demonstrated ability to lead and manage moderately complex projects to successful completion without much guidance.
Demonstrated ability to develop credibility and rapport in order to influence at all levels of the organization.
