Interventional Radiology Technologist
Location: Akron Ohio
Shift: Day Shift 4x10 Hours (07:00 AM 05:00 PM)
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist to join a dynamic radiology team at a leading healthcare facility in Akron Ohio.
The Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist will assist physicians during minimally invasive image-guided procedures ensuring high-quality imaging patient safety and efficient workflow in the interventional suite.
This role requires strong technical skills attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced procedural environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist physicians during interventional radiology procedures
Prepare and maintain the interventional suite and imaging equipment
Operate advanced imaging equipment such as fluoroscopy and angiography systems
Ensure proper patient positioning and safety during procedures
Maintain sterile field and follow infection control protocols
Monitor patients during procedures and communicate with the care team
Prepare contrast media and procedural supplies
Maintain accurate documentation and imaging records
Collaborate with radiologists nurses and other healthcare professionals
Ensure compliance with hospital policies and safety standards
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
ARRT Certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) required
Active state radiology license if applicable
BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification
Experience working in Interventional Radiology or Cath Lab settings
