Job Description
As a Security Guard - Unarmed Rover in Myrtle Beach SC you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy healthcare location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas conduct routine rounds and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support patients visitors and staff with calm communication quick reporting and professional presence. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to patients visitors and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including de-escalating disruptive behavior and coordinating with clinical staff and/or local emergency services as directed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility including entrances lobbies parking areas and perimeter to help identify unusual activity unsecured doors and/or hazards to report.
- Monitor access points and security-related systems such as alarms cameras and radios and help manage visitor flow by providing directions checking authorization when required and/or documenting entries per site policy.
- Complete incident reports patrol logs and other required documentation and communicate observations and follow-up actions to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have 2 years of law enforcement military police and/or corrections experience.
- Vaccines are required for this hospital site.
- Experience working in a hospital morgue is required.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
- Be 21 years of age.
- Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
- Have 2 years of service in a healthcare and/or medical-related field.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
