Job Title: Attendance/Registrar
Reports to: Campus Principal

Classification: Non-Exempt
Primary Purpose:
Maintain accurate campus attendance and student academic records. Under supervision perform data entry for attendance and Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS) reporting while processing student enrollment transfers and withdrawals for the campus.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to maintain accurate and auditable records
Ability to use software to develop or maintain spreadsheets and databases and do word processing
Proficient keyboarding and file maintenance skills
Basic math skills
Strong organizational communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to meet established deadlines
Experience:
Clerical Experience Preferred
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Records and Reports
- Collect and enter attendance and PEIMS data into established database and verify accuracy according to prescribed procedures.
- Maintain student records and process requests for student information and transcripts. Process new student records including requesting transcripts and records from other schools.
- Assist parents students and faculty with questions regarding student attendance.
- Contact parents/guardians to verify student absences as needed and report attendance problems to designated administrator.
- Compile maintain file and distribute all reports records and other documents as required following established procedures.
- Assist counselors with the enrollment withdrawals and transfer of students.
- Assist campus administration and counselors with the preparation of reports and student data information.

- Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Display tolerance necessary for accepting supervision for and criticism of job performance.
- Work in harmony with supervisory faculty and peer personnel.
- Use professional information discreetly and judiciously.
- Support and follow administrative and Board policy.
- Represent the school system to the community in a positive professional way.
- Maintain a sincere friendly attitude toward patrons.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Tools/Equipment Used: Personal computer and peripherals; standard instructional equipment; P.E. teachers: automated external defibrillator (AED)
Posture: Prolonged standing; frequent kneeling/squatting bending/stooping pushing/pulling and twisting
Motion: Frequent walking
Lifting: Regular light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds); may lift and move textbooks and classroom equipment
Environment: Work inside may work outside; regular exposure to noise
Mental Demands: Maintain emotional control under stress; work prolonged or irregular hours
