What Youll Be Working With
Legacy & Core Network Equipment

Tellabs 5500
Alcatel-Lucent (ALU) DACS II
Western Electric DACS III & IV
These systems act as the backbone switchboards for high-capacity circuits and your job is to verify their accuracy end to end.
Physical Infrastructure
DSX-1 & DSX-3 frames (T1 / T3 cross-connects)
Fiber Distribution Panels (FDPs)
Overhead and underfloor cable routing systems

What Youll Be Responsible For
Data Correlation
Compare logical network records spreadsheets and assignment data against physical wiring and port usage
Identify discrepancies between software records and real-world connections
Manual Circuit Tracing
Physically trace copper and fiber jumpers through racks frames and ladder systems
Validate end-to-end circuit paths across multiple bays and systems
Port & Circuit Auditing
Identify ghost circuits (logically assigned but physically absent)
Identify unrecorded or misassigned physical connections
Document findings clearly and accurately for remediation
Reporting & Accuracy
