Job Description
Project/Program:
Annual Changes for Personal Income Tax Audit System Tax Mod IAS Project/ CARTS Conversion NYS e-MPIRE Tax Processing System.
Provide annual changes to the Personal Income Tax Audit System. Assist the Tax Mod IAS Full project implementation and CARTS assessment data conversion. Support NYS e-MPIRE Tax Processing System maintenance.
Day-to-Day Tasks:
- Maintenance of existing systems as well as new development work.
- Participate in requirements gathering phase.
- Analysis design coding and unit/integration testing.
- Create and update program specifications and detail design documentation.
- Research and fix production issues.
- Application performance tuning.
- Mentor staff on programming standards.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues.
- Guide to training classes.
Mandatory Qualification:
Software Architect -
Makes high-level design choices and dictates technical standards including software coding standards tools and platforms. Designs multi-leveled architecture or component interactions of a large-scale software system.
Expert -
84 Months: Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.
Requested Qualifications:
- 84 months of COBOL programming experience.
- 60 months experience with a government taxation organization which includes business knowledge technical design development maintenance and end user support of complete Tax Return Processing.
- 84 months of IBM DB2 experience working with enterprise databases.
- 60 months of IBM MQSeries experience.
- 60 months of application performance tuning and analysis.
- 60 months of experience writing technical design specification documents for multifaceted component-based systems.
- 48 months of system analysis and design experience for multi-tiered transactional systems.
- 84 months of JCL experience.
- 36 months of IBM DataStage programming experience.
