Investor Service Metals & Mining Specialist
About the Role
The Investor Service is a dynamic multi-segment team that partners with the buyside community to support informed investment decision-making. We are seeking a Metals & Mining Specialist to work alongside our Metals & Mining Lead in supporting a rapidly growing client base as they navigate the complex metals and mining investment landscape.
This role is critical to delivering exceptional value to our investor clients by combining deep sector knowledge client relationship management and commercial acumen to drive client satisfaction and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Relationships & Problem Solving
Provide detailed accurate and timely responses to investor inquiries maximizing the value clients derive from their Investor Service subscription
Develop creative tailored solutions for complex client challenges that may not have off-the-shelf answers
Build and maintain strong relationships with key users to better understand and anticipate their evolving needs
Proactive Engagement & Anticipating Needs
Proactively engage with clients through personalized and targeted email communications
Highlight and contextualize Wood Mackenzie research and insights most relevant to investor decision-making
Anticipate market developments and client information needs to stay ahead of inquiries
Commercial Growth & Business Development
Support Investor Services commercial growth objectives through exceptional customer service
Identify and pursue opportunities for growth within existing client relationships
Recognize and communicate potential opportunities in the wider market
Contribute to client retention and expansion initiatives
Collaboration & Team Support
Work closely with the Metals & Mining Lead to support a robust portfolio of important clients
Collaborate with colleagues across Wood Mackenzies research and commercial teams
Share insights and best practices to enhance team performance
Required Qualifications & Skills
Industry Knowledge: Understanding of metals and mining markets or demonstrated ability to quickly develop expertise in complex sectors
Client Management: Proven experience in client-facing roles with strong relationship-building capabilities
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex research into actionable insights
Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to address unique client needs
Responsiveness: Ability to work efficiently under time pressure while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
Commercial Awareness: Understanding of business development and the ability to identify growth opportunities
