Project Design Engineer

Salary 65000 approx.

We are hiring for our client a growing Irish-owned specialist in end-of-line packaging systems and materials handling who are seeking to appoint a Project Design Engineer. Working as part of a small but highly skilled team you will take ownership of automation projects from concept through to installation and handover.

The Role:

Lead and manage automation projects from design through to commissioning and handover
Plan and coordinate workloads for a small team of designers and installation engineers
Liaise with clients throughout the project lifecycle ensuring delivery to agreed scope and timescales
Work closely with procurement to ensure materials and components are ordered on time
Oversee technical drawings documentation and scheduling to maintain smooth delivery
Support testing commissioning and sign-off processes ensuring systems meet specification and safety standards
Collaborate with internal teams and management to drive quality and project success

The Person:

Engineering background (Electrical Automation Mechanical or similar)
Experience working with automation systems conveyors robotics or bespoke machinery
Comfortable leading small teams and liaising with clients and suppliers
NFQ Level 7 qualification in Engineering or equivalent
Familiarity with AutoCAD/SolidWorks
