Overview
A well-established manufacturing company based in Keighley is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead and manage all quality assurance compliance and health & safety activities across the site. This role is ideal for a proactive professional who can ensure high product standards maintain regulatory compliance and drive continuous improvement within a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Management
Oversee the companys Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
Develop implement and maintain quality policies procedures and work instructions.
Manage internal and external audits and ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively.
Monitor product quality performance and analyse data to identify areas for improvement.
Investigate customer complaints and non-conformances implementing root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Work closely with production and engineering teams to improve processes and product quality.
Health & Safety
Lead and maintain the companys Health & Safety systems and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation.
Conduct risk assessments and ensure safe systems of work are implemented across the site.
Investigate incidents accidents and near misses ensuring corrective actions are taken.
Deliver health & safety training and promote a strong safety culture throughout the organisation.
Maintain health & safety documentation and ensure policies remain up to date.
Continuous Improvement
Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
Report quality and safety performance metrics to senior management.
Requirements
Proven experience in a Quality Manager or senior quality role within a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems and audit processes.
Good understanding of UK Health & Safety regulations.
Experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
Strong leadership communication and organisational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Desirable
Experience with ISO standards (e.g. ISO 9001).
Health & Safety qualification such as NEBOSH or IOSH.
Experience in continuous improvement methodologies.
