About the Role
The Business Optimisation Strategy (BOS) is a landmark investment to modernise UNSWs platforms and simplify service delivery. By streamlining processes and data BOS enables the Progress for All strategy returning time to staff for teaching and research.
As BOS mobilises we seek a senior leader with deep expertise in People & Culture service delivery employment legislation and enterprise agreements. Reporting to the P&C Program Manager this role is the accountable expert for ERP and Service Management design ensuring workforce systems are human-centred compliant and efficient.
You will influence program direction lead HR transformation elements and ensure the future operating model meets the needs of the UNSW community. This is a rare opportunity to define the employee experience and systems that will underpin talent attraction payroll and retention for the next decade. This role is not a project management or business analyst opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the senior People & Culture voice within the BOS program ensuring all design decisions reflect the P&C service lifecycle and future operating model.
- Embed employment legislation wage compliance and enterprise agreement interpretation into all system configurations and regulatory requirements.
- Drive the end-to-end design and delivery of ERP and Service Management capabilities including Payroll Recruitment Talent Management and Workforce Planning.
- Analyze current PeopleSoft configurations and integrations to define and transition to the future state within Oracle Cloud HCM.
- Support workstream planning dependency mapping and governance reporting in alignment with central program office and EPMO standards.
- Collaborate with academic and professional leaders to build consensus on delivery approaches risk treatments and P&C service workflows.
- Partner with multidisciplinary teams and change management to ensure system integrations business value and university-wide adoption are sustained beyond go-live.
About You
- Essential: At least 10 years of experience delivering enterprise-wide People & Culture solutions and large-scale ERP transformations specifically centered on Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM and ServiceNow.
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent expertise gained through executive training and hands-on program leadership in ERP and HCM domains.
- Deep expertise in ERP HCM solution design configuration and lifecycle management with a track record of delivering Core HR Job Architecture Payroll Time & Attendance Rostering & Scheduling Talent Acquisition Learning & Development Workforce Planning and Performance & Career frameworks. Experience in higher education healthcare or similarly federated and regulated sectors is desirable.
- Proven capability to lead and inspire high-performing cross-functional teams across business and technology domains to ensure delivery excellence.
- Strong engagement and influencing skills with a record of engaging senior executives and distilling complex ERP data into actionable insights and briefings.
- Proven ability to navigate technical complexity and manage dependencies risks and trade-offs under conditions of ambiguity and high scrutiny.
- Practical knowledge of PeopleSoft HR modules and a commitment to UNSWs values to drive human-centered change and organizational agility.
