The Supply Chain Digital team at Covestro is on a mission to build the autonomous supply chain of the future. We combine cloud-native development AI-powered tools and agentic automation to transform how one of the worlds leading materials companies manages its global supply chain operations.

This is not a typical internship. You will join a development team that is pioneering a new way of building software using AI pair-programming (vibe coding) and agentic AI tools to ship real solutions at startup speed inside a Fortune 500 company.

What You Will Do

Build Cloud-Native Process Automation

• Develop Python-based automation solutions onAWS serverless architectureto automate supply chain processes across Asia Pacific
• Design build and deploy production-grade automation robots that handle order management credit management and logistics workflows
• Integrate with enterprise systems includingSAPand internal platforms

Code with AI Ship Faster

• UseClaude Codeand other AI-assisted development tools as your daily coding companions writing reviewing and iterating on code together with AI
• Experience first-hand how agentic AI tools are reshaping software development
• Contribute to building and improving our AI-augmented development workflows

Drive the Autonomous Supply Chain Vision

• Help buildagentic solutions automation that can reason decide and act with increasing autonomy
• Work onMCP (Model Context Protocol) integrationsthat connect AI agents to enterprise systems like SAP
• Participate in the full development lifecycle: requirements gathering with business users development testing (UAT) deployment and monitoring

Support Supply Chain Operations (30-40% of your time)

• Performmaster data maintenancefor supply chain applications understand the business youre building for
• Run and monitor existing automation solutions ensuring they operate reliably
• Provide data aggregation and analysis to support management decision-making
• Monitor and analyze operational KPIs identify root causes and propose improvements

Collaborate and Grow

• Work directly with experienced developers in a small high-impact team
• Interact with business stakeholders across global regions with a primary focus on Asia Pacific
• Contribute ideas on new automation opportunities and emerging technology trends

What You Will Learn

• Cloud development: AWS Lambda serverless architecture infrastructure as code

What We Are Looking For

Must Have

• Year 2 or above undergraduate inany discipline Computer Science Engineering Business Science or beyond. We value curiosity over credentials
• Basic coding experience (e.g. have learntPythonor another programming language before)
• Genuine curiosity aboutAI and how it is changing software development
• High willingness to learn self-motivated and comfortable with ambiguity
• Good communication skills inEnglish and Mandarin(spoken and written)
• Creative problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced collaborative environment

Nice to Have

• Experience with any cloud platform (AWS Azure GCP)
• Familiarity with AI coding assistants (Claude GitHub Copilot Cursor etc.)
• Exposure to automation tools (UiPath Power Automate or scripting-based automation)
• Basic understanding of APIs web services or enterprise system integration
• Interest in supply chain operations or business process optimization

Internship Details

• Duration: 12 months full-time starting June 2026 or earlier (the earlier the better!)
• Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM
