Job Description
Were looking for a Cloud Architect to help shape and evolve our enterprise cloud this role youll bring deep AWS expertise strong working knowledge of other cloud platforms and the ability to guide teams in making smart wellgoverned cloud decisions.
Youll partner closely with application security and technology leaders to evaluate cloud vs. onprem approaches design scalable and secure architectures and ensure solutions align with enterprise standards while still enabling speed flexibility and innovation.
This role goes beyond designyoull influence how teams build deploy and operate across cloud hybrid and onprem environments. Youll help define cloud patterns guide architectural decisions and champion best practices that drive consistency security and operational excellence at scale.

What Youll Do (Key Responsibilities)
Architect the Future of Our Cloud Ecosystem
- Lead the design development and governance of cloud architecture using AWS services with strong influence across Azure and GCP.
- Promote a cloudnative strategy across IaaS PaaS SaaS and hybrid platforms.
- Develop scalable patterns and reference architectures that accelerate delivery and ensure security compliance and operational excellence.
Shape Enterprise Infrastructure Standards
- Define and continuously evolve infrastructure policies standards guardrails and best practices.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture security and regulatory requirements.
- Communicate architectural direction with clarity and influence across technical and business partners.
Be a Strategic Partner & Trusted Advisor
- Provide expert consultation to technical leaders product owners and application teams.
- Evaluate project needs challenge assumptions and guide teams toward scalable and compliant cloud solutions.
- Develop communication and changemanagement plans to ensure architecture decisions are understood and adopted.
Enable Innovation Automation & Modern Engineering
- Architect solutions for automated software and infrastructure delivery (DevSecOps) including CI/CD pipelines quality gates compliance checks and security automation.
- Design strategies for onprem to cloud data movement hybrid workloads and distributed systems.
- Lead modernization efforts across self-service end-user computing and emerging technology platforms (low/no-code RPA AI-enabled tools software-defined infrastructure).
Advance IT Service Delivery & Operations
- Shape the strategy for ITSM evolution focusing on shift-left enablement self-service automation CMDB maturity and proactive incident and asset management.
Guide Adoption of Emerging Technology & Industry Trends
- Research evaluate and introduce emerging cloud infrastructure and platform technologies.
- Partner with Information Security PMO Enterprise Architecture and engineering teams to assess fit risk and business value.
Champion Enterprise Strategy & Alignment
- Serve as an advocate for enterprise IT strategy ensuring architecture and cloud engineering decisions support organizational direction and operational goals.
Support Generative AI & Advanced Computing
- Architect secure scalable cost-effective cloud platforms for generative AIsupporting data ingestion model training inference and lifecycle management.
- Partner with data applications and security teams to ensure AI workloads align to enterprise standards and cloud-native best practices.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 7 years of experience in cloud architecture infrastructure engineering or related technical leadership roles.
- Cloud certifications strongly preferred (AWS Solutions Architect Professional Azure Solutions Architect Expert GCP Professional Cloud Architect).
- Proven experience designing and delivering enterprisescale cloud solutions across AWS hybrid or multicloud environments.
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with crossfunctional teams (security application infrastructure and product) to define architecture strategies and drive adoption.
Work Location
This position is based at ALSACs National Executive Office in Memphis TN and is eligible for a hybrid work schedule.
