Job Description
As a Security Officer - Entry Control Driver in Franklin KY you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution and more. As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location you will help manage entry points verify credentials support visitor and truck check-in and monitor activity through routine patrols and reporting. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license under AU Driver Policy Requirements. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Control access at gates entrances and truck yards by checking identification verifying appointments and/or bills of lading issuing visitor credentials and directing drivers to designated areas.
- Monitor and document inbound and outbound traffic including employee visitor and vendor activity maintaining accurate logs of entries exits deliveries and irregular events.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including reporting hazards suspicious activity and/or policy violations to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points loading docks staging areas and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or property damage as site conditions allow.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
