Role Overview

As a Business Intelligence Solutions Developer you will be responsible for transforming complex business questions into actionable insights through high-quality data models and interactive reporting solutions.

You will design develop and maintain enterprise-grade dashboards and semantic models that support performance analysis identify trends and key drivers and enable informed decision-making across departments.

This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders to clarify requirements deliver compelling data narratives and contribute to a structured and governed BI ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

Dashboard & Report Development
Design and build intuitive performance-optimized dashboards and reports using advanced visualization techniques such as drill-through functionality dynamic tooltips bookmarks and structured layout principles.

Stakeholder Engagement & Data Communication
Translate analytical findings into clear business-relevant insights for non-technical audiences. Facilitate demos gather stakeholder feedback and refine deliverables to ensure decision-ready outcomes.

Requirements Translation & KPI Design
Convert high-level or ambiguous business requests into structured reporting specifications. Identify gaps define actionable KPIs and implement exception-based reporting views that drive measurable decisions.

Data Modeling & Semantic Layer Management
Develop and maintain scalable semantic models using dimensional modeling techniques and star schema principles. Manage relationships calculated measures hierarchies formatting standards and documentation.

Advanced Measure Development (DAX)
Create optimize and troubleshoot calculated measures including time intelligence ratios variances cumulative calculations and year-to-date logic. Clearly explain calculation methodologies to stakeholders when required.

Security & Governance
Configure and validate row-level security rules and manage workspace access following least-privilege and governance best practices.

Data Validation & SQL Analysis
Use SQL to validate and reconcile datasets working with cloud-based data platforms to ensure accuracy and reliability of reporting outputs.

Enterprise BI Standards & Delivery
Operate within a structured BI framework adhering to naming conventions certified datasets documentation standards and backlog-driven development processes.

Candidate Profile

Demonstrated experience building enterprise-grade dashboards and reports in a governed BI environment
Strong understanding of dimensional modeling star schemas and shared semantic datasets
Hands-on expertise in DAX with the ability to confidently develop and debug complex measures
Solid SQL knowledge and experience working with cloud data platforms (experience with modern cloud warehouses is advantageous)
Ability to communicate analytical insights clearly to business stakeholders
Experience with BI development tools such as desktop modeling environments and semantic model editors
Familiarity with ERP systems version control practices or modern data platform ecosystems is considered a plus
Professional proficiency in Dutch and English; additional languages are an advantage
