Overview
Ansible Government Solutions LLC (Ansible) is currently seeking Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist (DRT / Xray techs)to support operations at the White River Junction VA Medical Center located at215 N. Main Street White River Junction VT 05009. Multiple shift schedules available. Responsibilities
- Perform general diagnostic radiography fluoroscopy portable radiography portable fluoroscopy and operating room imaging
- Prepare and administer contrast materials under radiologist direction (e.g. GI studies venograms cystograms arthrography)
- Accurately operate imaging equipment to obtain diagnosticquality images while minimizing radiation exposure
- Record radiation dose data for fluoroscopy and portable fluoroscopy exams
- Review validate and process radiology orders in CPRS/VistA
- Register complete cancel and edit imaging exams in VA systems
- Perform imaging studies according to urgency (STAT urgent routine preop)
- Ensure image quality repeat/reject analysis and compliance with departmental quality thresholds
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records and ensure images are properly uploaded to PACS
- Follow infection control sterile technique radiation safety and VA safety policies
- Assist radiologists/physicians during procedures and anticipate procedural needs
- Identify patients correctly and ensure proper image labeling and documentation
- Monitor equipment functionality and report malfunctions
- Adjust exam techniques based on patient condition body habitus and clinical need
Qualifications
- Current ARRT certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
- Minimum 2 years of Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist experience
- Maintain an active AHA BLS Certification
- No sponsorship available
All candidates must be able to:
- Sit stand walk lift squat bend twist and reach above shoulders during the work shift
- Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
- Lift up to 20 lbs
- Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
- Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
