Job Description
As a Security Officer - Access Point Driver in Sulphur LA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical and more. Join Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location in an access control post where you will greet visitors verify credentials manage entry logs and support a smooth flow of people and vehicles. You will complete routine rounds nearby respond to requests and communicate clearly to help identify and help deter security-related issues. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license. Bring integrity teamwork and a people-first approach every day.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at an industrial chemical processing location.
- Control access at gates and/or entry points by verifying identification and authorizations issuing visitor credentials and maintaining visitor and contractor logs.
- Conduct screening of pedestrians packages and/or vehicles as required by post orders and report prohibited items or suspicious activity through the established chain of communication.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including initiating notifications documenting actions taken and assisting with site response procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings production-adjacent areas and perimeter points and report maintenance concerns unsecured doors and/or unusual conditions.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid drivers license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Have 1 years law enforcement experience OR 2 years security supervisor/manager experience OR 3 years security experience.
- At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
