Intern, Engineer Senior

The Engineer Summer Intern will work alongside the Engineering Team at the Charleston location gaining hands-on experience with our team. This role involves assisting with system design analysis and testing as well as contributing to software development projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting in the design and analysis of engineering systems
• Participating in system modeling and simulation activities
• Supporting software development efforts including coding and testing
• Collaborating with team members to understand project requirements and deliverables
• Documenting work performed and maintain project records
• Attending team meetings and contribute to discussions
• Learning and applying systems engineering principles and methodologies

Environment:The intern will work in a dynamic collaborative environment with a team of experienced engineers. The role involves working on real-world projects and gaining valuable hands-on experience in systems engineering. The intern must be able to work independently and as part of a team and be comfortable with a fast-paced work environment.

• Currently enrolled as a rising senior in a Bachelors degree program in systems engineering computer engineering electrical engineering or a related field
• Strong academic record with a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
• Basic understanding of systems engineering principles and methodologies
• Proficient in programming languages such as Python C or Java
• Familiarity with software development tools and version control systems (e.g. Git)
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

• Experience with system modeling and simulation tools (e.g. MATLAB Simulink)
• Basic understanding of hardware and software integration
