The Region NA IT Architecture Lead serves as the critical link between technical teams and business needs responsible for analyzing requirements crafting comprehensive architectural designs and ensuring alignment with business objectives. This role encompasses technical leadership by guiding teams making informed technology choices and mitigating potential risks
throughout solution lifecycles.
The Region NA IT Architecture Lead proactively and holistically leads and supports EA activities that guide the development and management of a portfolio of solutions. Solutions include projects and products systems (including applications technologies processes and information) shared
infrastructure services and shared application services.
They understand the concepts of business goals objectives and business outcomes business capabilities value-streams and business processes and their importance in solution and enterprise architecture. The Architecture Lead provides the necessary leadership analysis and design tasks related to support the development of technology solutions to ensure that solutions meet business needs and align with architectural governance and standards.

Key Accountabilities:
Responsible for planning analysis and development of architecturemethodologies frameworks models and artifacts that represent businessstrategy operations services processes solutions and technologies acrossmultiple domains 30%
- Evaluate the technology portfolio and identify opportunities to reuse replaceor modernize architectural components to drive strategic value
- Assess the impact of business strategy on the architecture landscapeincluding organization information infrastructure and applications
- Identify and define leading enterprise architecture capabilities rolesprocesses and skills
- Lead the creation of architecture blueprints and roadmaps for complex andlarge technology environments based on business models
- Develop deep understanding of industry dynamics and the impact oftechnology trends to identify and formulate recommended changes to existingenterprise architectures
- Lead large scale technology transformation to deliver business value throughthe evolution and management of enterprise architectures
- Navigate through the Thyssenkrupp global network and leverage relevantexpertise to develop enterprise architecture insights
- Develop deep expertise and experience in Enterprise Architecture assetsframeworks patterns and governance
Lead aspects of the creation or evolution of the EA function including thecoordination of enterprise information systems data technical and solutionarchitecture viewpoints across stakeholders product owners and agiledevelopment teams through the Architecture Review Board 25%
- Establish an effective Architecture Review Board to assess evaluate andapprove architecture-related initiatives along with setting reviewing andenforcing architectural standards and policies across the organization.
- Ensure consistency across different architectural domains within theorganization such as data application and security architectures and enforcecompliance with the architectural standards crucial for avoiding inefficienciesand security risks.
- Understanding advocating and supporting the enterprises business and ITstrategies
- Leading the identification and analysis of enterprise business drivers to deriveenterprise business information technical and solution architecturerequirements; analyzing industry technology and market trends to determinetheir potential impact on the enterprise
- Analyzing the current business and IT environment to detect criticaldeficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement
- Working within the Management Team to develop application strategies andproject priorities.
Acts as a single point of contact (SPOC) for Enterprise Architecture in NorthAmerica 15%
- Cultivate tkMNA ITs role as a trusted advisor to business and technologyleaders defining and implementing enterprise architectures that drive businessvalue manage complexity and accelerate harmonization of the IT assets
- Responsible for solutions in both public (Azure GCP AWS) and on-prem systems
- Manage the day-to-day architecture design in our public & private cloud bymonitoring solution configuration maintenance performance and and manages solution lifecycle revisions to host solutions and software. Works with vendors to identify capability and quality improvements
- Leading and facilitating the creation of governing principles to guide solutiondecision making for the enterprise
- Ensuring that the optimal governance structure and compliance activities (suchas handling waivers) are associated with EA compliance
- Leading the development of an implementation plan for the EA based onbusiness requirements and IT strategies; overseeing EA implementation ongoing EA refinement activities and the documentation of all EA design andanalysis work
- Maintain operations policies & procedures; including security; disasterrecovery; monitoring and customer communications
Partner with internal & external business owners on developing standardsapplication solution reviews POCs and cloud migrations 15%
- Advise emerging technologies that should be integrated and/or introduced toensure cloud computing capabilities respond to the needs of the businessstrategy.
- Understand business challenges to define and drive strategies to helpbusinesses grow at scale
- Ensure systems security and compliance with SOC2 ISO GDPR FedRAMP etc. to maintain the proper security posture.
- Partner with risk and business continuity teams on Disaster Recovery plans andactivities.
- Accountable for making certain that projects are completed according to projectspecifications and that the appropriate activities and documentation are fulfilledsatisfactorily.
- Consulting with program/project teams to fit solutions to architecture across allviewpoints
- Defining organizational requirements for the resources structures and culturalchanges necessary to support the EA
Responsible for full life cycle planning solution design architectural guidance andoperational transition across multiple business and IT domains. Acts as the leaddesigner on all projects engages hands-on on larger complex initiatives - 15%
- Act as the lead architect on key projects for the definition and design of solutions
- Leads evaluation design and analysis for the implementation of a solutionsarchitecture across a group of specific business applications or technologiesbased on enterprise business strategy business capabilities value-streamsbusiness requirements and enterprise standards
- Manages and develops the architecture for a broader scope of projects orproducts working closely with application architects that manage and designarchitecture for a single project or product or initiative
- Develops a roadmap for the evolution of the enterprise solution portfolio fromcurrent to future state as defined by the solutions architecture
- Acts as a consultant on a broad range of technologies platforms and vendorofferings to drive targeted business outcomes
- Create architectural designs to guide and contextualize solution developmentacross products services projects and systems including applicationstechnologies processes and information
- Works closely with the program management office (PMO) or project management office to ensure the execution of plans corresponds with what isbeing promised throughout the project or product life cycle
- Provides consulting support to application architects within agile teams to ensurethe project or product is aligned with the overall enterprise architecture
- Design develop and oversee implementation of end-to-end ITintegrated systems.
- Develop and execute test plans to check IT infrastructure and systems technical performance. Report on findings and make recommendations for improvement.
- Manages activities that take place during solution ideation solution designand solution implementation.
- Communicates the architecture to the stakeholders and collaborates andcoordinates with existing domain architects in the formalization and adoption ofIT standards and procedures.
- Champions a structured approach to business application solutions.
- Directly assists in the development of a solutions architecture program includingdepartmental roadmaps and project portfolios for IT systems architecture.
- Assures solutions not only are a fit for the specific purpose but also closelyalign with the standards guidelines of technology solutions.
- Directs the identification and recommendation of appropriate solutionsupgrades replacements or decommissioning options incorporating businessand technology productivity usability and total cost of ownership.
- Develops and executes solutions which further reduce the percentage of timespent on reactive work.
- Provides analysis of security protection technologies as necessary.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelors degree in computer science information assurance MIS or related field orequivalent.
- A minimum of five years of experience in managing developing and optimizing ITsolutions and vendor/partners including more than 3 years of proven hands-onexperience
- Minimum 3 years of experience creating roadmaps and developing business cases
- Minimum 3 years of experience leading teams facilitating client workshops anddeveloping architecture recommendations
- Minimum 3 years comprehensive and demonstrable experience at an intermediate/expertlevel in:Business Architecture Data and Information Architecture and GovernanceEnterprise Architecture Operating Model Enterprise Architecture Strategy and Planning Enterprise IT Governance Infrastructure and Cloud Architecture Integration Architecture Security Architecture Solution and Application Architecture Technology and Platforms.
- Exposure to multiple diverse technologies platforms and processing environments
- Good understanding of strategic and emerging technology trends and the practicalapplication of existing and emerging technologies to new and evolving businessand operating models
- Good understanding of product management agile principles and developmentmethodologies and capability of supporting agile teams by providing advice andguidance on opportunities impact and risks taking account of technical andarchitectural debt
- Experience working in a relevant industry is helpful but not required
- Experience developing architecture blueprints strategies and roadmaps
- Experience delivering presentations to senior-level executives and technical audiences
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
