Job Description	RESPONSABILITIES Create functional safety goals and cascade requirements in adherence to ISO 26262 Develop safety related documentation including safety plan safety case item definitions HARAs FTAs DFMEAs and similar Ensure all safety related requirements are defined complete and traceable through to verification and validation Work with independent reviewers to audit and ensure functional safety compliance General Duties Undertake any other duties / tasks assigned which may include providing support to other departments. Suggest & implement approved improvements to company processes Represent Plastic Omnium in a professional manner Be knowledgeable about the full range of Plastic Omnium work Health & Safety To follow all Health and Safety procedures. To identify any Health & Safety concerns in your day-to-day work and escalate as appropriate. REQUIREMENTS Essential Working knowledge of the Systems Engineering V-model A good understanding of electric drivetrain architectures and familiarity with different types of components such as batteries motors power electronics. Working understanding of hydrogen fuel cell and battery electric vehicles such as types of hazards Skills & Experience Engineering experience throughout an entire product lifecycle minimum 5 years Significant experience of ISO 26262 preferably within an automotive OEM or Tier 1 supplier Good data presentation skills (reporting and documentation) Well organized comfortable following process and excellent attention to detail Desirable Experience in other functional safety standards for non-automotive applications e.g. ISO 50657 Knowledge and experience of failure mode avoidance processes including DFMEAs and Fault Tree Analysis throughout the product engineering lifecycle from concept to production Experience in using requirements management systems such as DOORS or Codebeamer similar Prior use of software tools designed for functional safety such as Ansys Medini Analyze Experience assessing and understanding system models e.g. SysML or RAAML in tools such as Sparx Enterprise Architect IBM Rhapsody Experience in software quality and process e.g. ASPICE Experience in developing and working to a Design Verification Plan
