We are seekingaSecurityDirectorfor theEdmonton area.

Shifts areTuesday Saturday: 1000 AM to 0600 PM (1000-1800 hrs).

Payrate:Competitive rates being offered and will be shared accordingly.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensuring schedule meets the needs of the property andcontractual obligation.
  • Work with Management Royal Canadian Mounted Police Fire Department EMS on various projects.
  • Conductingemergency drills for the propertyincludingsecurity team mall administration tenants.
  • Conducting tenant visit reports ensuring the retailers security needs are addressedand promoting partnerships.
  • Visiting tenants to stay on top oflatestshoplifting incidents
  • Ensuring all security personnelmaintainthe utmost level ofdeportment.
  • Ensuring all security personnel complete all required training programsin a timely manner.
  • Conductingaudits on security personnelensuringthat we delivera superiorcustomer service experience to all who visit the property.
  • Covering scheduling needs last minute.
  • Conductmonthly site inspections and reporting deficiencies or safety risks.
  • Abilityto patrol up to 10KM a day.
  • Assistdispatch& Royal Canadian Mounted Policewith incident investigations.
  • Oncallas necessary.
  • Optimizingpatrolroutesas needed.
  • Ensuring all projects arecompleted prior todeadlines.
  • Attendingweekly regionalmeetings.
  • Conductreports forcorporate as needed.
  • Reviewingfinancialreports withSecurityDirector & the client.
  • Ensuringthe deploymentremainswithin budget for standard & eventdeployment.
  • Assistinginoptimizingthe security program.
  • Working withestablished partnerships such as retailerLoss Prevention Managers Police Fire andEMS departments.
  • Conductingretail awareness committee meetings everyquarter.
  • CreatingJSA OJT and other on-site training materials.
  • Complete Use of Force WCB and vehicle accident reports.
  • Ensuring the needs of the Security team are met.
  • Act asliaisonbetween Securitas & the client .
  • Observe and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site providing for the security and safety of client propertyitsassetsand personnel.
  • Preserves order and may act to enforce regulations and directives for the sitepertaining topersonnel visitors and premises.
  • Satisfiesclient needs by providing excellent customer service while minimizing risk to the clientsproperty and assets.
  • Maintains focus and awareness while working in a stressful environment which includes noise from alarms machinery and people crowd distractions time pressurein order topreserve the professional ability toidentifyandlocatepotentially life-threatening situations and make effective decisions in both crisis and routine situations.
  • Protects evidence or scene of incidentin the event ofaccidents emergencies or security investigations.
  • Conducts inbound/outbound package inspections.
  • Responds to incidents of fire medical emergency bomb threat flooding water discharge elevator emergency hazardous materials inclement weather and other incidents or conditions following proceduresestablishedfor the site andcommensuratewith their level of training.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum3yearsin security account management experience.
  • Class 5 non GDL(Graduateddrivers license).
  • Must have valid provincial Security Guard License.
  • Ability to delegatetasks.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite. IE: Word ExcelPowerPoint and Windows operating systems.
  • Photoshop experienceis anasset.
  • Working knowledge of security operations and procedures.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ableto write routine correspondence including logs andreports.
  • Able to walkstandandconductpatrols.
  • Must have excellent customer service and communicationskills.
  • Must be able to build relations & partnerships.
  • FirstAid/ CPRis considered anasset.
