DESCRIPTION:

As a Field Service Engineer II at Thermo Fisher Scientific youll contribute to delivering excellent service for sophisticated analytical and scientific instruments. Working with customers across research industrial and healthcare settings youll install maintain troubleshoot and repair complex equipment while providing exceptional customer service. This position offers opportunities to work with advanced technology while contributing to scientific advancement and innovation.

Within our BeNeLuxIES FieldService Division we are looking for an additional Field service engineer position within the Chromatography team.

Field Service Engineer

As Field Service representative in this position you willbe responsible fordelivering andbuildservice excellence over and above our customer expectations.

Themain focusof the role is Installation Preventive Maintenance and Instrument Qualification ofChromatographyEquipment products within the territory listed above.

What will you do:

Collaborate with colleagues in our customer care center to efficiently schedule your service visits to meet and exceed customer expectations.

Represent our company in a positive professional manner in all dealing with Thermo Fisher Scientific customers both external and internal.

Install our products from our diverseChromatography portfolio(LC/IC)demonstrateinstrumentspecificationand instruct customers on use and maintenance.

Perform preventive maintenance and qualifications on customer instruments and help to improve instrument uptime and availability.

Assure responsive telephone support and diagnostic as well as on-site Services to exceed thecustomersexpectationandmakingthem successful.

Detailed preparation and documentation of maintenance and qualification activities to meet regulatory requirements.

Always ensure the highest professional relationship with our customer base to achieve customer loyalty and raiseissuesif necessary to solve critical tasks in the fastest way our ethical business conduct guidance.

Optimizeyour own work schedule by coordinating with all the necessary partners for service planning/scheduling

Partner with our commercial colleagues to deliver customer deals that can be implemented profitably and meet/exceed customer expectations

Help on continuous improvement through our Practical Process Improvement Business System

REQUIREMENTS:

Advanced Degree no prior experience required or Bachelors Degree plus 2 years of hands-on technical experience installing troubleshooting and repairing complex analytical instruments

Preferred Fields of Study: Electronics Engineering Physics Chemistry or related technical field

Additional relevant certifications are advantageous

Strong electronics and mechanical troubleshooting skills with ability to diagnose issues down to component level

Experience with HPLC liquid Chromatography ideal.

Excellent customer service and communication skills both written and verbal

Strong organizational and time management capabilities

Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and service management software

Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and schematics

Valid drivers license and ability to travel up to 50-75% within assigned territory

Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various laboratory environments

Proficiency in English and Dutch additional languages beneficial. CVS in English please.

Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to work independently

Adherence to safety protocols and quality standards

Ability to respond to customer needs with short notice

Ability to effectively train and support customers on equipment operation

Experience documenting service activities and preparing detailed reports

Demonstrated success in meeting customer satisfaction goals
