Location: Phoenix AZ (Hybrid 2 Days in a week)

Duration: Long Term Contract

Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Engineer with strong infrastructure expertise and hands-on experience in end-user support. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing AVD environments supporting enterprise users and ensuring a secure high-performing virtual desktop infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Design deploy configure and manage Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments.
Administer session hosts host pools application groups and user profiles (FSLogix).
Monitor performance availability and capacity planning of AVD infrastructure.
Provide L2/L3 end-user support for virtual desktop-related issues.
Troubleshoot login profile connectivity latency and application performance issues.
Manage Windows Server and Windows 10/11 multi-session environments.
Implement security best practices including conditional access and MFA.
Perform patch management and system updates.
Collaborate with networking security and cloud teams for issue resolution.
Maintain documentation and standard operating procedures.

Required Qualifications

5 years of experience in Infrastructure / End-User Computing support.
Strong hands-on experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
Experience with Microsoft Azure Active Directory and Entra ID.
Knowledge of FSLogix profile management.
Experience with Windows Server and desktop OS administration.
Good understanding of networking concepts (DNS VPN firewalls).
Experience with monitoring tools and troubleshooting performance issues.
Strong customer-facing and communication skills.
Ability to work onsite in Phoenix.

Preferred Qualifications

Microsoft Azure certifications.
Experience with Intune / Endpoint Manager.
Knowledge of Citrix or VMware Horizon (nice to have).
Experience supporting enterprise-scale virtual desktop environments.
