Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Engineer with strong infrastructure expertise and hands-on experience in end-user support. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing AVD environments supporting enterprise users and ensuring a secure high-performing virtual desktop infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Design deploy configure and manage Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments.
- Administer session hosts host pools application groups and user profiles (FSLogix).
- Monitor performance availability and capacity planning of AVD infrastructure.
- Provide L2/L3 end-user support for virtual desktop-related issues.
- Troubleshoot login profile connectivity latency and application performance issues.
- Manage Windows Server and Windows 10/11 multi-session environments.
- Implement security best practices including conditional access and MFA.
- Perform patch management and system updates.
- Collaborate with networking security and cloud teams for issue resolution.
- Maintain documentation and standard operating procedures.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in Infrastructure / End-User Computing support.
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
- Experience with Microsoft Azure Active Directory and Entra ID.
- Knowledge of FSLogix profile management.
- Experience with Windows Server and desktop OS administration.
- Good understanding of networking concepts (DNS VPN firewalls).
- Experience with monitoring tools and troubleshooting performance issues.
- Strong customer-facing and communication skills.
- Ability to work onsite in Phoenix.
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft Azure certifications.
- Experience with Intune / Endpoint Manager.
- Knowledge of Citrix or VMware Horizon (nice to have).
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale virtual desktop environments.
