Job Summary

This is an entry-level Design Engineer role supporting the design and development of mechanical products in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment. The Design Engineer will collaborate with senior engineers and manufacturing teams to support product design technical documentation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Support the design and development of mechanical components and systems
Assist senior engineers with product design testing and technical documentation
Create and update engineering drawings and design documentation
Provide design clarification and revisions to manufacturing teams
Participate in continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives
Assist with engineering change requests and design revisions
Ensure designs meet quality safety and manufacturing standards

Education & Experience Requirements

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
1 year of engineering experience or relevant internship/co-op experience
Exposure to heavy industrial manufacturing environments preferred
Experience related to heavy equipment or similar manufacturing industries is a plus
Basic proficiency with CAD and engineering design software
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
Good written and verbal communication skills
