Job Title: Lead Full-Stack Software Engineer (front and backend specialist)
Location: 100% Remote
Duration: 6 Months Contract
Job Description:
- Must have 10 years of professional experience as a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer
- 3 years current experience as a Lead Software Engineer
- Current experience: Developing and maintaining features across a full-stack web application including front-end components back-end APIs and data layer integration
- 8 current years with the following bullet points below (dont skip any)
- Demonstrated experience with full-stack web development ( (front end Node and backend Node) and other equivalent back-end frameworks Python or GO or Java or Ruby).
- Comfort working with SQL and data-heavy applications; ability to read write and debug queries against large structured datasets.
- Experience with Python scripting or notebook-based data workflows.
- Experience with CLI-based developer workflows and cloud data platforms.
- Experience with Databricks or similar lakehouse / data warehouse platforms.
- Familiarity with Jiras data model and API. Background in security GRC or risk management domains.
- High proficiency with AI engineering workflows (Cursor Claude Code Copilot etc.)
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain features across a full-stack web application including front-end components back-end APIs and data layer integrations
- Work with Databricks tables and write SQL queries to support data retrieval transformation and reporting needs
- Build maintain and debug Python-based data pipelines running as scheduled jobs (daily/weekly) for data preprocessing and ingestion
- Integrate and work with Jira APIs and data exports to support security risk workflows
- Use the Databricks CLI to manage jobs clusters and deployments
- Deploy changes through a staging-to-production workflow: build deploy to staging test promote to prod
- Leverage agentic engineering tools (Cursor Claude Code) to accelerate development and navigate an unfamiliar codebase
- Collaborate closely with the team via Slack and participate in regular syncs code reviews and prioritization discussions
- Contribute to reducing technical debt in existing data pipelines while supporting new feature development
TECHNICAL
Must Have:
- Demonstrated experience with full-stack web development ( or equivalent back-end frameworks Python GO Java or Ruby).
- Comfort working with SQL and data-heavy applications; ability to read write and debug queries against large structured datasets.
- Experience with Python scripting or notebook-based data workflows.
- Ability to ramp up quickly on an existing codebase using AI-assisted development tools.
- Familiarity with CLI-based developer workflows and cloud data platforms.
- Strong communication skills and experience working in collaborative async-heavy team environments.
- Experience with Databricks or similar lakehouse / data warehouse platforms.
- Familiarity with Jiras data model and API. Background in security GRC or risk management domains.
