Job Summary

Job Title: RN Cath Lab Traveler (Days) Position Summary

The Cath Lab Registered Nurse provides direct patient care for adult and geriatric patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures. The RN supports physicians during cardiac catheterization and related procedures monitors physiologic and hemodynamic status and ensures safe patient care throughout all phases of the procedure. This role requires strong clinical judgment rapid response to changes in patient condition and collaboration with the cardiovascular laboratory team.

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and cardiovascular procedures.
Monitor physiologic and hemodynamic data during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
Prepare patients for procedures including assessment monitoring setup and documentation.
Communicate continuously with physicians regarding patient status and procedural needs.
Administer medications and manage IV therapies as ordered.
Document patient condition interventions and responses accurately in the medical record.
Assist with maintaining equipment functionality and procedure room readiness.
Obtain and prepare supplies for procedures and ensure all case needs are met.
Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and assist with emergency interventions.
Support patient and family education related to procedures and care plans.
Maintain adherence to infection control safety standards and patient privacy requirements.
Perform additional duties within scope as assigned.

Qualifications

Current and valid Missouri RN License.
Current BLS (AHA) certification.
Current ACLS (AHA) certification.
Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab cardiovascular procedural or critical care experience.
Experience monitoring hemodynamic data during cardiovascular procedures preferred.
