The VCA athletic department is seeking welcoming reliable and level-headed drivers to join our athletic transportation team. Under the direction of the Director of Athletics the Bus Driver is responsible for safely transporting members of the VCA community to and from school events. The Bus Driver will be assigned to transport middle school and high school students coaches teachers and other adults using 14 36 and/or 64 passenger buses to athletic events field trips and out-of-town trips.

Core Responsibilities:

Follow and enforce Valors athletic policies and regulations.
Transport students coaches teachers and other adults safely to athletic events field trips and on out-of-town trips.
Creates a safe environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical social and emotional development of students.
Able to manage multiple schedules and the ability to be prompt and punctual at all times.
Operate the bus in a safe and effective way to minimize the risk of passenger injury and property damage.
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics.

Key Experiences and Qualifications:

Must have and maintain a valid Tennessee Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with P &/or S endorsements
Make sure the bus is always safely and securely stored.
Must be able to meet all Federal and State driving regulations and requirements
Must be able to pass an extensive background check and have no driving violations
Grit and perseverance to work within a fast-paced start-up environment.

Schedule & Hourly Rate:

This is a part-time hourly role with the need for flexibility as the majority of hours will be in the evenings (after 3:00 PM) and during weekends.
There could also be an availability to drive hours during the weekends as well.
Hourly Rate: $35 per hour
