Job Summary

Salary Expectations: $38.31/hour - $50.02/hour

The primary responsibility of the Ultrasound/Vascular Technologist is:

Selects appropriate equipment for use in ultrasound setup following exam specifications.
Explains and performs the procedure with consideration to the level of understanding and age appropriateness for the patient.
Able to assess patient pain interfering with imaging procedure makes appropriate physician contact for intervention.
Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.
Selects a transducer and adjusts the equipment controls according to the body part to be examined the depth of field and other specifications of the test.
Understands and practices proper use of all equipment.
Performs procedures in accordance with established standards and protocols.
Document patient information appropriately.
Adjust and maintain equipment

A Bachelor of Science degree. - HIGHLYPREFERRED
Two years of Ultrasound/Vascular experience. - REQUIRED
American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)- Currently registered- minimal certifications- RDMS abdomen (AB) and vascular (RVT). - REQUIRED
Current Basic Cardiopulmonary Life Support (BCLS) Certification. - REQUIREDDOCUMENT
