Title: Composite Bonder

Location: El Segundo CA 90245

Payrate: $37.75/hr. on W2!

Visa: US Citizens

Duration: 12 months Contract

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Lay out articles cuts parts or materials to size and apply liquid or solid bonding agents.
• Understanding of ply orientations and vacuum bagging processes
• Operates autoclave hydraulic presses and ovens to complete bonding cycle.
• Control conditions of heat pressure and timing by setting and operating various controls according to the specifications for the materials and the bonding agent being used.
• Sand burs and smooth over areas apply sealing resins to cut or exposed edges.
• Monitor and verify quality of finished product.
• Complete repairs on composite metal or laminate bonded products using inspection and rework instructions. Verifies quality of finished product.

Basic Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED with at least 4 years of relatable composite fabrication or bonding experience in manufacturing/production environment
• Must be able to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include: lifting over 25 pounds working with chemicals prolonged overhead work prolonged kneeling bending or stooping and carrying tools.
• Must be able to access small confined spaces and work in an enclosed environment.
• Ability to work flexible changing shifts including weekends
• Must successfully complete and pass the ASTAR New Hire Training / Compliance within a reasonable time period as defined by the company to meet its business need.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with high temperature composite materials including BMI and Polyimide.
• Experience with structural subassemblies including bonding co-bonding core bonding and bagging
