Job Summary The Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) delivers high-quality patient-centered care in a fast-paced acute care environment. The RN is responsible for assessment triage treatment and coordination of care for patients with emergent and urgent conditions. This role requires flexibility to work variable shifts and float to other departments as needed to support patient care.
Key Responsibilities -
Perform rapid patient assessment triage and emergency interventions

Deliver direct nursing care for a wide range of acute and critical conditions

Administer medications treatments and procedures according to standards of practice
-
Monitor patient status and respond quickly to changes in condition
-
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure timely care delivery
-
Document care accurately in the electronic medical record system
-
Float to other departments (e.g. Long Term Care or ICU) as required
-
Maintain compliance with facility policies safety standards and regulatory requirements
Schedule & Work Requirements -
Variable shifts required (day evening and night)
-
Combination of 12-hour shifts with occasional 8-hour shifts
-
Approximately 80 hours per two-week pay period
-
Assignment may include holiday coverage (compensation based on hours worked on the holiday)
-
Contract assignment with potential for extension
Qualifications & Requirements -
Active RN license required

Minimum of 2 years recent Emergency Department experience required
-
Ability to meet required onboarding timelines for a quick start

Experience working in high-acuity fast-paced environments preferred
-
Flexibility to float between departments as needed

Strong clinical judgment prioritization and critical thinking skills

Excellent communication and teamwork skills
