Job Summary:
This role is for a Respiratory Neuro Diagnostics Specialist responsible for providing respiratory care to patients including ventilator management medication administration and airway management. The specialist will work with adolescents adults and geriatric patients and must be open to floating to other campuses.
This role is for a Respiratory Neuro Diagnostics Specialist responsible for providing respiratory care to patients including ventilator management medication administration and airway management. The specialist will work with adolescents adults and geriatric patients and must be open to floating to other campuses.
Location:Seattle Washington United States
Responsibilities:
- Perform pulmonary function tests.
- Manage ventilators including BiPAP CPAP and high-frequency oscillators.
- Troubleshoot high-pressure alarms and wean patients from mechanical ventilation.
- Administer medications such as Albuterol Atrovent and inhaled steroids.
- Set up and manage various medication delivery systems including aerosol masks and nebulizers.
- Perform airway management tasks including intubation assistance and suctioning.
- Collect sputum specimens.
- Interpret ABG results and perform basic EKG.
- Document patient care and related duties appropriately.

Required Skills & Certifications:
- WA State Respiratory Therapist License
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification
- NRP certification
- PALS certification
- RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) certification
- Minimum 2 years of NICU experience
- EPIC skills
- WA State Respiratory Therapist License

Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience in a Pulmonary Function Test Lab

Special Considerations:
- Must be open to floating to other campuses.
- Weekend coverage is variable.
- All previous perm employees of any affiliated facility must be separated from the health system for a minimum of 3 months to qualify for a travel position.
