Job Summary:
The Ultrasound Technician will work in a busy department primarily Monday through Thursday nights performing a variety of ultrasound examinations. The role requires independent scanning skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The technician must be multifaceted and proficient in OB breast vascular general abdomen and GYN ultrasound including vascular studies for DVT.
Location:Potsdam New York United States
Responsibilities:
- Perform ultrasound examinations including OB breast vascular general abdomen and GYN.
- Conduct vascular studies for DVT.
- Independently scan patients and interpret results.
- Work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple shifts.
- Utilize portable ultrasound equipment as needed.
- Document patient care and related duties appropriately.
- Maintain and clean equipment.
- Assist in emergency situations as needed.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- ARDMS certification
- BLS certification
- AB/OB/VASC certifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience
- Proficiency in Adult Emergency Department Portables PACS Abdominal Aorta Appendix Breast Gallbladder Liver Pancreas Pediatric Abdomen/Pelvis Spleen 1st trimester 2nd trimester 3rd trimester Fetal Anatomical Survey Bladder Hernia Ovaries Prostate Renal/Bladder Uterus Vaginal Breast Cyst Aspiration Breast Ultrasound Superficial Masses Testicles/Scrotum Thyroid Carotid Doppler Studies Lower Extremity Venous Peripheral Vascular Resistance Upper Extremity Venous
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience with Samsung equipment
- Experience with Neonates Infants and Pediatrics
Special Considerations:
- 8-week contract
- No call no weekends
- Must live > 50 miles away
Scheduling:
- 8pm-6am
- Monday-Thursday
