Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse in Interventional Radiology (IR RN MH) provides skilled nursing care to patients with a focus on stroke patients. The role requires strong experience in stroke care and the ability to respond to on-call duties within a 30-minute radius of the hospital. The RN will work in a fast-paced environment collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.
Location:Mission Viejo California United States
Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled nursing care to patients in the Interventional Radiology unit.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions especially stroke patients.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Respond to on-call duties including weekends within a 30-minute radius of the hospital.
- Float between like units as needed.
- Document patient care and related duties accurately in the Epic electronic medical record system.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of working.
- ACLS certification.
- BCLS certification.
- NIH Stroke Scale certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience.
- Stroke experience.
- EPIC experience.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Not specified.
Special Considerations:
- On-call required must live within 30 minutes of the hospital for stroke call.
- May be required to float to other units.
- Minimum of every other weekend is required may exceed to meet unit needs.
- Facility is able to call off once per two week pay period.
Scheduling:
- 12 on-call shifts per 6-week period including one weekend.
- Schedule determined by unit needs.
- Open to accommodating block schedules per manager discretion.
